The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is essential to maintaining the company’s high standards of guest interaction and parking services. This position requires individuals who can provide attentive, friendly, and efficient hospitality services, including parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and promptly. Associates serve as the forefront of the company’s customer service, engaging with guests through warm greetings, personalized interactions using guest names, and professional demeanor. Associates are expected to be proactive in managing parking operations, explaining rates and retrieval procedures, and handling vehicle keys and claim checks accurately. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of work or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract three-digit numbers and perform multiplication and division with tens and hundreds
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to perform parallel parking
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests and co-workers
  • Greet guests within five feet using a professional and friendly manner
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously and safely
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Provide guests with directions, taxi assistance, reservations, and information about facility amenities and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys
  • Collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, damage surveys, and claim check receipts
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
