The position of Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is a crucial role within the company, primarily focused on delivering top-notch hospitality services to guests. This role requires interacting with guests in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner to ensure they have a positive experience from arrival to departure. The Guest Service Associate handles key responsibilities including parking and retrieving vehicles safely and efficiently, assisting guests with their luggage, and providing helpful directions and information about local attractions and amenities. An important aspect of the role is maintaining a pleasant and welcoming demeanor, acknowledging guests promptly, and using their last names to personalize the interaction.

The Guest Service Associate also plays a vital role in managing parking procedures, explaining rates to guests, issuing claim checks, and ensuring that all administrative tasks related to parking and vehicle management are completed accurately. Working as part of a team, associates provide bell services, shuttle guests, and perform message delivery, all aimed at enhancing the guest’s experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for the state or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Understanding of 24 hour and military time
  • Understanding of applicable rates for time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission preferred
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to appropriate places approved by the location
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
