The Guest Service Associate at Towne Park plays a critical role in delivering extraordinary hospitality experiences to guests. This position primarily involves parking and retrieving vehicles safely and efficiently, assisting guests with their luggage, and providing valuable information about the facility as well as the surrounding area. Scheduled mainly for the evening shift from 3 pm to 2 am, this role offers an hourly wage starting at $10, with additional tipping opportunities ranging between $5 and $10 per hour, reflecting its importance in the guest experience journey. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license for the state of work or within commuting distance
- One month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to operate a vehicle cautiously and safely
- Ability to provide courteous and professional customer service
- Physical capability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
- Willingness to work primarily night shifts (3 pm to 2 am)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work or within a commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s using American money units
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet
- Uses guest last names during interactions
- Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
- Practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provides information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
- Delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
- Shuttles guests to approved places
- Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
- Collects claim checks prior to issuing keys
- Completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
