The role of a Valet at Northern Quest Resort and Casino is integral to the guest experience, acting as the first and last point of contact for guests arriving and departing from the resort. Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Gaming License
- possession of a valid state driver’s license during shifts
- eligibility for insurance coverage by the company
- willingness and availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Hepatitis A & B vaccinations required
- physical ability to stand, walk, climb, lift up to 70 pounds
- ability to work in environment with tobacco smoke, flashing lights, loud noises, and varying temperatures
- adherence to tribal and company policies
- pass background investigation and drug testing
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- 3 to 6 months customer service experience required
- 1 year of NQRC valet experience preferred
- experience in 4 star/4 Diamond hotel preferred
- skill in problem identification and resolution under pressure
- computer literacy including Microsoft programs and other software
- ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- ability to follow detailed instructions
- demonstrated interpersonal and organizational abilities
- excellent teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Ensures compliance with Kalispel Tribe of Indians-Internal Contracts and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures
- provide exceptional service to customers and employees while maintaining professionalism
- greet guests and co-workers consistently with smiles, eye contact, and verbal greetings
- maintain organization and control of the driveway area
- direct team members regarding vehicle order and bell assistance needs
- maintain constant communication with team and supervisors to ensure smooth guest arrival and departure
- assist guests entering or exiting vehicles
- open main entrance doors for guests
- follow procedures for key handling and valet ticket distribution
- park and retrieve guest vehicles as required
- record any vehicle damage upon receipt
- report any dangerous vehicles before driving
- distribute resort brochures and information
- maintain knowledge of resort services and respond to guest questions
- assist in keeping the front casino entrance clean
- responsibly care for assigned vehicles and equipment
- comply with resort safety and loss control procedures
- ensure protection of company assets
- maintain guest confidentiality
- report unsafe conditions and anticipate hazards
- report accidents or injuries promptly
- use proper interpersonal skills with guests and employees
- collaborate with team members to uphold service standards
- maintain a good attendance record
- perform additional duties as assigned by management
