Currently, Aramark is seeking a Hotel Sous Chef to support Legoland California Resort. This role is pivotal in leading culinary operations within the hotel, ensuring exceptional food quality, customer service, and operational efficiency. The Hotel Sous Chef acts as the supervisory culinary leader responsible for overseeing kitchen personnel, managing daily culinary activities, and maintaining high standards in food preparation and presentation. Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years in a related culinary position
  • At least 2-3 years of post-high school education preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • Experiential knowledge of management of people and or problems
  • Verbal reading and written communication skills
  • Ability to work an event based schedule including evenings weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Work effectively with team members to deliver exceptional customer service focusing on creating a positive experience for children and all guests
  • Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise or coordinate all related culinary activities
  • Select and develop recipes as well as standardized production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • Assist in identifying training needs and assist in the execution of any appropriate training where necessary
  • Manage ordering and inventory processes for assigned locations
  • Minimize food waste through effective management practices
  • Understand and monitor how forecast labor food cost and other expenses affect business and respond accordingly
