As part of The Bay Club Company, the hotel is steeped in a culture that promotes respect, accountability, and community engagement, which is clearly reflected in its unique 'Code of Culture.' This code emphasizes the importance of respecting the past, accepting responsibility, and paying it forward. The hotel continuously fosters an environment where open communication, humility, proactive ownership, and curiosity are valued traits among employees. Employees are encouraged to live by clear actions such as keeping interactions honest, thinking ahead, hustling harder, and acting as one united team. Furthermore, the promise of service forward, consistency, and integrity underpins every aspect of the hotel’s operations, ensuring that guests and team members alike experience excellence and professionalism. Maintaining a profound connection with the community while upholding the highest operational standards positions Bay Club Renaissance Hotel as a preferred destination for meetings, events, and hospitality services.
The role of Hotel Senior Sales Manager is pivotal within this dynamic hotel environment. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Revenues and the Senior Vice President and General Manager, this leadership position is focused on driving significant revenue growth by generating new business opportunities and establishing the hotel as the premier venue for catering and event services. This individual is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans that exceed revenue targets by leveraging outside sales calls, site visits, sales tours, and active community networking. The Senior Sales Manager not only nurtures existing client relationships but also identifies and cultivates new business leads by analyzing market trends and competitive activities. Implementing key performance indicators and forecasting, in addition to providing regular business intelligence reports, is central to this role. Additionally, this position involves collaborating closely with the marketing department to create cohesive campaigns that promote the hotel’s brand and services.
Beyond sales, the role carries responsibilities in operational areas such as assisting with banquet and event executions, developing banquet event orders, and ensuring proper event payment collections. The role demands proficiency with a range of specialized property management and event software including CI/TY, Marriott Event Management, MI Leads, Lanyon, Cvent, and others, making technological aptitude essential. Leadership duties include managing and developing a sales team, performing performance evaluations, and maintaining compliance with company policies and employment laws. This position also supports property upkeep through regular inspections, inventory oversight, and loss control, while acting as a visible leadership presence ensuring smooth daily operations. Financial stewardship is emphasized in managing departmental budget targets and forecasting. The Hotel Senior Sales Manager is expected to foster harmonious relationships across internal teams, vendors, clients, and the broader community, representing the club professionally in dress, demeanor, and communications.
The position demands flexibility with work schedules, requiring availability for day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. It also requires adaptability to changing environments as activities range between indoor and outdoor settings. Physical demands include standing, sitting, bending, and occasional travel to various property locations. Critically, this role is designed for a motivated, entrepreneurial, and resilient professional who combines strategic vision, operational excellence, and a customer-first orientation to deliver outstanding results and positively impact the hotel’s growth trajectory. The compensation for the Hotel Senior Sales Manager role ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, reflecting the seniority, responsibility, and expected impact of this key position within the organization.
