The Sales Manager - OEM position at McKibbon represents a crucial leadership role within the hotel team, tasked with generating revenue and driving sales performance to meet business objectives. Reporting directly to the General Manager or Director of Sales, the Sales Manager is integral in implementing and adhering to McKibbon’s strategic sales initiatives and brand standards. This overtime eligible management role requires dedication to maintaining high competence levels while utilizing various sales tools and processes to optimize hotel revenue streams.

As a Sales Manager with McKibbon Hospitality, you will be responsible for a variety of vital functions including managing hotel sales segments that vary according to the size of the property and the sales team. You will stay compliant with the latest sales strategies and brand requirements, engage in detailed reporting such as STAR reports and month-end analyses, and train staff on McKibbon’s sales procedures. Maintaining strong, positive relationships with the management company, property owners, and clients is essential to your success, alongside supporting guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Your role will extend beyond the hotel walls as you act as a face of the property in the local community, building brand presence and business opportunities. Daily responsibilities involve proactive communication by responding to emails and voicemails promptly, participating in sales meetings and training sessions, and conducting thorough prospecting and lead research to expand clientele. You will handle various sales administrative duties including maintaining group blocks, managing budgets and profit and loss statements, and collaborating with the operations team to contribute insights for budgeting and sales planning.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 1-year experience in hotel sales preferred
  • Preferred experience with major hotel brands such as Marriott, Hilton, or Hyatt
  • Proven track record of meeting sales goals
  • Ability to actively support operational teams
  • Implement and maintain all sales documentation
  • Ability to make revenue management decisions to grow market share
  • Ability to produce proactive sales strategies through direct calls and prospecting
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with Delphi Standard or Delphi FDC highly desired
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organization and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Responsible for sales and revenue generation for the property
  • Maintain compliance and stay updated on new sales initiatives
  • Participate in STAR report critique and month-end reporting
  • Implement and train on McKibbon sales procedures and systems
  • Maintain positive relationships with management, owners, and clients
  • Support guest experience and satisfaction
  • Act as the face of the property in the local community
  • Check emails and voicemails daily and respond promptly
  • Review daily reports including McKibbon Hospitality’s daily report and Delphi calendar
  • Enter all sales activities into Delphi system
  • Research and prospect leads
  • Set appointments, joint appointments, and tours
  • Maintain group blocks on schedules
  • Review budget and P&L with General Manager
  • Provide input to operations team for budgeting
  • Attend sales training as recommended
  • Demonstrate strong listening and interpersonal skills
  • Ensure professionalism and adherence to brand standards
