The role of the Hotel Sales Manager at Miccosukee Casino & Resort is a critical revenue-generating position focused on driving room sales and managing client relationships across various market segments including wholesale and tour operators, government and military, and groups and conventions. The manager is responsible for the entire sales cycle from sourcing and qualifying leads to negotiating contracts and closing deals, ensuring the resort achieves occupancy and average daily rate (ADR) targets that maximize revenue per available room (RevPAR). This position demands strategic planning and execution of sales initiatives, relationship building with internal departments and external partners, and active participation in trade shows, networking events, and promotional activities. The Hotel Sales Manager plays a vital role in maintaining the resort’s competitive edge by managing rate integrity, coordinating with hotel operations, and analyzing market data to optimize sales performance. Job Requirements
- Three or more years in hotel or resort sales
- success in driving room revenue

Job Qualifications
- Three or more years in a hotel or resort sales role with verifiable success in driving room revenue
- demonstrated proficiency and successful experience selling guest rooms to at least two of the following segments: wholesale/tour and travel, government and military, and group/convention business
- working knowledge of hotel revenue management concepts including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, displacement analysis, need periods, and rate parity across distribution channels
- experience negotiating and administering rate agreements, room block contracts, allotments, cut-off dates, attrition and cancellation terms
- familiarity with government room sales requirements and channels such as per diem rates, FedRooms/GSA, SAM.gov registration, military and agency travel programs
- familiarity with wholesale and receptive operator distribution including net rates, contracted allotments, FIT and series business, OTA and GDS channels
- demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis on creating Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and email
- working knowledge of PMS, CRM, sales and catering, and POS systems
- ability to work independently both on and off property with little supervision or oversight
- ability to adhere to high standard of business etiquette, professional verbal and written communication
- ability to consistently represent the Company in a professional, positive and knowledgeable manner
- ability to adhere to highest standard of confidentiality and discretion
- demonstrated ability to produce detail-oriented, accurate work

Job Duties
- Generate new room-night business by networking and prospecting with key decision-makers
- establish and develop strong, effective relationships through professional, courteous, and ethical interaction
- independently source, identify, and pursue outside opportunities through professional industry resources, trade shows, community events, and special events attended by prospects
- coordinate and deliver effective sales presentations and site tours that convert prospects into signed room agreements
- negotiate, author, and submit finalized rate agreements, group contracts, and BEOs to clients and internal staff
- maximize occupancy and ADR through strategic date management, rate integrity, upselling of room categories and packages, displacement analysis, and repeat-business development
- work with Hotel Operations to align segment pricing, inventory allocation, and blackout dates with forecasted demand, shifting discounted business into need periods and protecting high-demand dates for higher-rated business
- maintain an extensive client database and work it consistently for follow-up sales calls and contact (in person, phone, email, mail, etc.)
- maintain accurate records of all sales activity, including pipeline, forecast, booking pace, production by account, and segment mix
