Job Description

MCM Elegante Hotel & Suites is a distinguished full-service hotel located in the heart of downtown Lubbock at 801 Avenue Q. The hotel boasts a comprehensive range of amenities, including well-appointed guest rooms, spacious meeting spaces, a full-service restaurant, and a vibrant lounge. With a strong commitment to hospitality excellence, MCM Elegante caters to both business travelers and leisure guests, providing seamless event planning solutions through its catering and banquet services. This establishment prides itself on fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and delivering personalized experiences tailored to diverse client needs. The hotel's strategic downtown location further enhances its appeal, making it a preferred choice for corporate events, social functions, and overnight stays in Lubbock.

The Sales Manager role at MCM Elegante Hotel & Suites is a dynamic and integral position within the Sales Department. This role demands proactive engagement in both inside and outside sales activities to promote and maximize the occupancy of the hotel’s meeting spaces, banquet facilities, and guest rooms. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by establishing and maintaining close rapport with new and existing customers, identifying opportunities, cultivating leads, and working collaboratively with the sales team to ensure targets are consistently met. This position requires a hands-on approach, involving frequent travel and outreach to external clients through in-person visits, phone calls, and networking events. The Sales Manager will leverage excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to negotiate deals, respond to inquiries, and prepare detailed sales reports. The role also entails marketing hotel services effectively, managing reservations, and adapting strategies to align with customer needs and market trends.

Ideal candidates will have prior sales experience within the hotel industry, preferably in a full-service hotel environment, and demonstrate energetic and motivated work ethics. Flexibility is key as the job involves working outside regular office hours, including weekends and evenings, to support event requirements. Required qualifications include a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation since the job necessitates frequent travel around the city and beyond. Background checks, credit assessments, and drug screenings are part of the hiring process to maintain the hotel’s standards of trust and security. Compensation includes an hourly wage plus commission, underscoring that the earning potential is directly linked to individual sales performance. Comprehensive benefits reflect the company’s dedication to employee wellness and include medical, dental, vision, HSA, and life insurance plans after a short eligibility period, together with paid vacation and profit-sharing opportunities. This Sales Manager role offers a promising career path for driven sales professionals eager to contribute to the success of a reputable and vibrant hospitality operation.
