Job Description

Drury Hotels is a well-established, family-owned and operated hotel chain that has been serving guests across the United States since 1973. Starting as a small family business, Drury Hotels has grown tremendously and now boasts over 150 hotels in 30 states with more than 6,100 team members. Despite its rapid expansion, the company remains deeply committed to maintaining its family values and providing an outstanding experience not only to guests but also to its employees. Recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces by Newsweek in 2025, Drury Hotels fosters a culture where employees are valued, respected, and given opportunities for professional growth and personal development.

This job opening at Drury Hotels is for a Hotel Coordinator position based at their property located at 11049 West Broad Street in Glen Allen, Virginia. The opportunity to join this team arose due to an internal promotion, illustrating the company’s dedication to career advancement and internal growth. As a Hotel Coordinator, you will play a key role in collaborating closely with the sales and hotel leadership teams to promote and sell guest rooms and meeting facilities. The overarching goal in this role is to build hotel occupancy, improve average daily rates (ADR), and maximize revenue per available room (RevPAR), which are critical performance metrics in the hospitality industry.

The position primarily focuses on inside sales activities which include coordinating meeting room details, responding to incoming inquiries, conducting proactive sales calls to generate new business, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. This role requires a high degree of integrity, excellent service skills, and a hospitable attitude, which are crucial to perpetuating Drury Hotels' renowned culture among customers and team members alike. While the Hotel Coordinator’s core duties are performed at the assigned hotel, there may be occasions requiring travel to participate in sales blitzes, tradeshows, and other promotional opportunities to further drive business growth.

Applicants interested in this position can expect a work environment that values career growth through mentorship programs, cross-training, development plans, and management training. Drury Hotels reports over 200 internal promotions in a single year, underscoring a firm commitment to employee advancement. The company’s benefits package is comprehensive, including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, parental leave, and wellness programs like the Team Member Assistance Program. For retirement planning, Drury offers a company-matched 401(k) plan, supporting employees’ long-term financial security.

In addition to benefits that support health and well-being, Drury Hotels values work-life balance by providing flexible scheduling options, paid time off, hotel discounts, and complimentary room nights. Employees can also earn quarterly bonuses tied to hotel performance, reinforcing a culture of shared success. Compensation for this role ranges from $22.39 to $33.59 per hour, with starting wages potentially higher based on the applicant’s relevant experience, skills, and education. This position is eligible for discretionary quarterly bonuses known as the "+1 Service" bonus.

Overall, Drury Hotels provides a unique workplace where hardworking individuals can grow their careers in hospitality sales while enjoying a supportive and rewarding work environment. The Hotel Coordinator position is perfect for those who are enthusiastic about sales, enjoy multitasking in a dynamic setting, and have a passion for excellent customer service.
