We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Hotel Receiver / F&B Porter to join our distinguished team. This pivotal role involves overseeing all receiving operations for food, beverages, and general supplies, ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and organization. The Hotel Receiver manages stock control, verifies deliveries against purchase orders, and maintains excellent communication with various departments including Culinary, F&B, Front Office, and Housekeeping. Additionally, the role requires coordination of shipments and maintenance of receiving and storage areas in compliance with HACCP, safety, and brand standards.

As a Hotel Receiver / F&B Porter, you will also collaborate closely with Culinary and Stewarding teams to guarantee the prompt delivery of food items across kitchens and ensure the staff cafeteria is adequately stocked during meal periods. You will be responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the receiving areas as well as handling logistical tasks such as the breakdown and baling of cardboard boxes and managing pallets.

This position requires the ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks safely, maintain strict confidentiality regarding financial and vendor information, and work effectively in a dynamic, temperature-variable environment. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year experience in receiving, purchasing, accounting, or food & beverage
  • College diploma an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to use a pallet jack
  • Ability to work in varying temperature environments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Duties

  • Supervise and execute all receiving operations for food, beverage, and general supplies
  • Safely operate equipment including pallet jacks to move or organize deliveries
  • Ensure accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders
  • Submit all invoices/documentation to the F&B Administrator
  • Coordinate all incoming and outgoing shipments, collaborating closely with Sales, Events, Group Contacts, and Concierge
  • Oversee the organization, cleanliness, and upkeep of the receiving and storage areas and loading dock in compliance with HACCP, safety, and brand standards
  • Work collaboratively with Culinary & Stewarding to ensure food items are delivered promptly between kitchens and storage areas
  • Work collaboratively with Culinary & Stewarding to ensure staff cafeteria is stocked at all meal periods
  • Ensure organization and timely return of pallets
  • Ensure breakdown and baling of cardboard boxes
