We are currently seeking a full-time Public Attendant, also known as a Houseperson, to join our dynamic housekeeping team. This critical role focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and overall welcoming atmosphere of all public areas within the hotel. The Public Attendant ensures that guest-facing spaces such as lobbies, restrooms, and hallways always present a polished and spotless appearance. Additionally, back-of-house areas are maintained to uphold the hotel's operational standards. This position is central to supporting the hotel’s reputation as a clean, comfortable, and inviting place to stay.
The ideal candidate will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, stock necessary supplies timely, and respond promptly to guest requests. Through these duties, the Public Attendant acts as the visible face of the hotel's commitment to superior guest service. This role requires attention to detail, a proactive approach to housekeeping tasks, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. By maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization, the Public Attendant plays a direct role in enhancing guests' overall satisfaction and experience. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in housekeeping or public area maintenance preferred
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours and stand for extended periods
- reliable and punctual
- capable of lifting up to 25 lbs
- commitment to providing excellent guest service
Job Qualifications

- prior housekeeping or janitorial experience is an asset

Job Duties
- maintain cleanliness of all public areas including lobbies, restrooms, hallways, and back-of-house spaces
- stock supplies for public areas and restrooms
- respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
- assist housekeeping team in day-to-day operations
- monitor public area conditions and report maintenance needs
- ensure trash and recycling are collected and disposed of regularly
