This role is a Philadelphia-based Senior Project Manager position that offers a high level of visibility and responsibility within HHM Hotels. The successful candidate will oversee a slate of East Coast hotel renovations and repositioning projects, guiding them from initial concept through to final closeout. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to manage and align multiple stakeholders—including designers, contractors, procurement teams, and ownership groups. The Senior Project Manager will be the primary representative of project interests throughout the entire lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with brand and operational goals.
The position demands thorough knowledge of construction management with a specific focus on hotel renovations. Responsibilities include leading renovation projects, managing project schedules and budgets, coordinating design and procurement activities, and maintaining quality control through active site presence. The candidate will also be tasked with navigating permitting processes and maintaining close communication with local officials and inspectors. Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing construction projects with direct responsibility for hotel renovations
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field or equivalent experience
- Proven ability to manage full project lifecycles including design coordination, procurement oversight, scheduling, and GC management
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, materials, estimating principles, budgeting, and ADA and building code compliance
- Experience working with developers, architecture/design firms, procurement teams, and construction companies
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, project management software, and plan review tools
- Willingness to travel regularly along the East Coast and conduct site visits
- Ability to sit for extended periods, walk, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, and navigate active construction sites
- Availability to work extended hours during critical phases of construction
Job Qualifications

- Experience working with developers, architecture/design firms, procurement teams, and construction companies
- Ability to communicate with clarity and confidence both in writing and verbally
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, project management software, and plan review tools
Job Duties
- Lead hotel renovation and capital improvement projects from planning through turnover, ensuring alignment with brand standards, operational needs, and ownership goals
- Direct daily project oversight including site meetings, punchlisting, coordination with contractors, and schedule monitoring
- Review, analyze, and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and design intent to ensure feasibility and cost alignment
- Serve as the primary liaison between interior designers, architects, procurement agents, and ownership throughout the design and FF&E process
- Coordinate purchasing agent orders, shop drawings, material approvals, and logistics to ensure alignment with construction schedules
- Develop, manage, and reconcile project budgets in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Review contractor and consultant invoices, payment applications, and change orders for accuracy and compliance
- Build and maintain project schedules, identifying risks early and driving solutions
- Provide consistent updates to senior leadership, operations, asset management, and ownership groups
- Lead coordination with local officials, inspectors, and permitting authorities
- Conduct regular site visits to oversee progress, ensure quality, and confirm adherence to drawings, specifications, and safety standards
- Uphold sustainability practices throughout project execution where applicable
