The establishment is a vibrant and bustling environment where customer satisfaction and service excellence are prioritized. The company embraces diversity and promotes a positive and respectful workplace culture that encourages mutual respect, dignity, and integrity among employees. Operating in the hospitality and gaming industry, this hotel upholds an atmosphere of fun and entertainment for all casino guests while also emphasizing professionalism and thorough attention to detail in every department.
The role available is that of a Public Area Attendant, a vital position aimed at achieving and maintaining an exceptional level of cleanliness throughout the public areas of the hotel. The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring the hotel’s public spaces—including the lobby, pool areas, restrooms, hallways, and elevators—are immaculate and welcoming to guests and visitors. This position is essential for creating a positive first impression and sustaining the overall hygiene and aesthetic standards of the property. The position involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, requiring both physical stamina and attention to detail. Employment type and salary details are typically discussed during the hiring process.
The Public Area Attendant will engage in duties such as cleaning furniture, glass, mirrors, elevators, and other furnishings found in public areas. Handling specialized floor equipment that requires technical expertise is part of the responsibilities, ensuring that floors, hallways, and staircases are swept, vacuumed, mopped, scrubbed, and polished to perfection. Additionally, the attendant will remove trash and dirty linens from public areas and guest rooms, assist in stripping linens from rooms after guests' departure, and maintain storeroom stock organization and supply carts for room attendants. Attention to detail is paramount, including tasks such as cleaning employee elevators and elevator tracks, as well as checking trash and debris on various floors and vending areas.
This role requires responsibility for a passkey during assigned shifts and ensuring it is signed out and returned appropriately. The attendant must promote a fun and enjoyable atmosphere for casino guests while demonstrating respectful conduct and positive examples at all times. The job also demands physical capabilities to lift, push, pull, and move items weighing up to 100 pounds and the ability to operate under the conditions typical in a casino environment, such as exposure to cleaning chemicals and moderate noise levels in a sometimes smoky atmosphere.
This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License and a high school diploma or GED is preferred. Candidates with the ability to read and interpret policy and procedure manuals, basic mathematical skills, and common-sense reasoning will be well-suited for success. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, and using hands and arms for various tasks throughout the workday. The hotel is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this vital role.
