As part of the Colwen Hotels family, which manages a diverse portfolio of 40 hotels across nine states, TownePlace Suites North Kingstown prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences through a combination of authentic service and innovative hospitality management. Colwen Hotels is known for its strong commitment to hard work, character, and authenticity, fostering a culture that encourages employees to develop forward-thinking ideas to continually enhance guest satisfaction. This environment not only benefits guests but also provides associates with significant opportunities for career growth and advancement within a dynamic and expanding company.
The role of Operations Supervisor at TownePlace Suites North Kingstown is integral to supporting the daily functioning of both the Front Desk and Housekeeping departments. This position requires an engaging, friendly, and detail-oriented professional dedicated to training, supervising, and scheduling team members in these crucial operational areas. You will serve as the backbone of the front-office operations by assisting in interviewing new staff, ensuring adherence to established policies, and maintaining exceptional service standards. Your responsibilities will include hands-on duties such as processing check-in and check-out procedures, managing reservations, verifying billing, and addressing guest requests and concerns promptly in the absence of a hotel manager.
Moreover, the Operations Supervisor will act as Manager On Duty (MOD), balancing operational efficiency with the delivery of superior guest service, while closely monitoring payroll, budget compliance, and safety protocols. This role involves fostering open and collaborative communication among staff and management, ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws, and consistently seeking avenues for operational improvements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, effective problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to coach and motivate team members to excel in managing occupancy rates, controlling costs, and maximizing guest satisfaction. Through a balance of hands-on involvement and administrative oversight, the Operations Supervisor will contribute to creating a positive and productive hotel environment, reinforcing Colwen Hotels’ dedication to quality and innovation in hospitality.
