Job Description

Hyatt Hotels is a globally recognized hospitality company known for its commitment to offering more than just accommodations, focusing instead on creating memorable and inspiring experiences for each guest. Through exceptional service, innovative cuisine, and thoughtfully designed spaces, Hyatt continuously sets high standards in the hotel industry. HYATT house represents a new and unique segment within the Hyatt family, redefining the all-suites experience with a relaxed style yet uncompromising standards. This innovative brand focuses on delivering a fresh hotel experience tailored to the needs of today’s traveler, blending comfort with contemporary design and cutting-edge amenities.

Joining HYATT house means becoming part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering personalized and attentive service. The Hotel Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining this high level of guest satisfaction by overseeing multiple aspects of hotel operations. This position is key in ensuring smooth daily execution across front-of-house and back-of-house departments such as Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage. The Supervisor’s responsibilities include guaranteeing a clean, comfortable, and inviting atmosphere while delivering exceptional service to guests before arrival and throughout their stay.

The Hotel Operations Supervisor serves as the first point of contact for guest concerns, expertly handling service recovery with timeliness and follow-up to maintain positive guest relations. This role requires a proactive approach to team leadership, including the training, coaching, and onboarding of new team members across various departments. Clear communication is essential, often facilitated through daily briefings to Guest Service Agents to ensure all staff members are prepared for the day’s events.

Operational support is a major component of the job, with the Supervisor assisting Front Desk staff during peak times or shifts with staffing gaps. Support extends to the Food & Beverage department, particularly breakfast operations and bar service, including inventory management to streamline workflow. Basic inspections of guest rooms are part of the role to uphold cleanliness and brand standards, ensuring the hotel environment remains pristine and welcoming.

The Supervisor also manages reservations, confirming guest assignments and monitoring billing through online third-party agencies. They may conduct property tours as needed and manage critical administrative tasks such as inventory tracking, supply ordering, vendor relations, and incident documentation. Regular walk-throughs of public areas and kitchens are conducted, with detailed reports submitted to management to maintain operational excellence. Acting as Manager on Duty in the absence of senior managers, the Hotel Operations Supervisor is entrusted with maintaining leadership and smooth operation at all times.

Success in this role requires a genuine passion for hospitality and the ability to form real connections with guests by being aware and responsive to their needs. The ideal candidate embodies the qualities of a great host, creating memorable guest experiences through conversation and attention to detail while fostering a positive team environment that supports the hotel’s mission. This position not only offers the opportunity to lead and develop in a dynamic work setting but also serves as a stepping stone toward advanced management roles within the esteemed Hyatt organization.
