Job Description

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Seattle is a renowned luxury hotel located in the heart of downtown Seattle, Washington. The hotel offers a unique blend of bold, playful design combined with a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere. Positioned just steps away from notable Seattle attractions such as Pike Place Market, the Waterfront, and Lumen Field, it serves both leisure and business travelers looking for a stylish and comfortable stay. The property is recently renovated and features stunning public spaces, spacious guest rooms, and a vibrant dining venue named Marin, which highlights the diverse culinary offerings of the Pacific Northwest. The hotel is award-winning and proud of its commitment to exceptional guest experiences, aiming to provide each visitor with a memorable and relaxing urban retreat.

The position of Valet / Bell Attendant at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Seattle is a full-time opportunity with a pay rate starting at $21.30 per hour plus tips. This role is pivotal in setting the tone for every guest's visit, as attendants are often the first and last points of contact. The Valet / Bell Attendant embodies Kimpton's Five Hospitality Standards, which include making eye contact, offering a smile, speaking first, engaging in friendly conversation, and using the guest's name. The job responsibilities involve warmly welcoming guests, assisting with luggage from arrival to departure, escorting guests to their rooms while providing helpful information about the hotel and local area, arranging transportation, and maintaining a clean and safe lobby environment. The role also requires the attendant to manage guest needs, act as a resource in the absence of concierge or front desk staff, and take on doorperson duties as necessary.

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Seattle prides itself on a culture described as 'Refreshingly Human.' This culture is rooted in empowering employees to be themselves, encouraging creativity, and fostering an environment where individuals can learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully. The hotel values authenticity and individuality, celebrating diversity and the unique qualities each team member brings. Beyond just providing excellent service, employees at Kimpton aim to 'Spark Joy' — to create emotional, memorable moments that leave guests with lasting positive impressions. Inclusion and belonging are central to the company ethos, with a strong commitment to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and where diverse perspectives enhance the team's success.

Working as a Valet / Bell Attendant at Kimpton comes with many benefits beyond competitive compensation. The hotel offers on-site parking, dry cleaning services for uniforms, extensive hotel and restaurant discounts available throughout the Kimpton brand and affiliated InterContinental Hotels Group properties worldwide, paid time off including sick and vacation leave with rollover options, paid holidays after 90 days, and comprehensive health insurance plans covering medical, dental, vision, and health savings accounts. Additional benefits include life insurance, disability insurance, critical illness and accident insurance, tuition reimbursement, and commuter benefits.

The company is an equal opportunity employer that follows federal employment laws and welcomes candidates from all backgrounds. The pay rate for this position is specific to the Seattle area and may vary based on factors such as education, experience, performance, and other considerations. Kimpton Hotel Monaco Seattle supports a dynamic work environment where every employee is encouraged to bring their full, authentic selves to work, contributing to an atmosphere filled with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care.
