The Front Desk Agent role at KHC is a vital position that offers a unique blend of customer service, administrative duties, and operational responsibilities. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the primary point of contact for guests checking in and out, ensuring their stay is smooth and satisfying. Beyond guest interactions, this role requires you to serve as the manager on duty at times, overseeing emergency procedures, ensuring guest safety, and maintaining communication protocols. The position includes financial responsibilities such as balancing daily accounts, posting charges, and handling payments according to company procedures, which demands strong attention to detail and accuracy.
The Front Desk Agent also plays a key part in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the front desk area and the lobby. Additionally, you will manage incoming communications, including mail and phone calls, and ensure that guest requests and issues are promptly addressed by collaborating with other hotel departments. This role requires a flexible and proactive individual capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment and maintaining professionalism at all times.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with guests
- Ability to handle cash transactions and balance accounts
- Proficient in using computer and hotel property management systems
- Ability to work night shifts and stay alert during overnight hours
- Must follow all company policies and procedures
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hotel front desk or customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash and balance accounts accurately
- Proficiency with hotel management software and computer systems
- Ability to follow emergency and security procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
Job Duties
- Greets, registers, suggestively sells hotel rooms, issues room keys, assigns rooms to guests and sets wake up calls in a efficient, warm and friendly manner
- Acts as hotel manager on duty and follows the prescribed MOD procedures on communication, emergency procedures and guest satisfaction
- Enters daily changes and balances accounts such as guest, house, guest tray, city ledger and advance deposits
- Resets system for the next business day
- Ensures that the night audit procedures are completed on a daily basis and the information entered and posted are accurate, balanced and timely
- Enters information and prints night audit reports in an accurate and timely manner per night audit guidelines
- Ensures guest safety by following established security procedures including fire/tornado procedures, key security and guest privacy
