The position of Director of Operations at EDITION Hotels is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing property operations and ensuring the delivery of the brand's service vision. Acting as the General Manager in their absence, this role encompasses broad responsibilities across multiple departments, including Front Office, Retail and Gift Shops, Recreation and Fitness, Housekeeping, Security and Loss Prevention, Engineering and Maintenance, Food and Beverage, Culinary, and Event Management where applicable. The Director of Operations collaborates closely with the Executive Committee members and department heads to develop and execute operational strategies that align with the brand's goals and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction. With a focus on maximizing financial performance, this leadership role demands expertise in managing profitability, departmental budgets, and capital expenditures while maintaining high levels of employee satisfaction and product quality. The Director is also responsible for fostering a culture of service excellence, conducting human resources activities such as hiring, coaching, and employee engagement to build a dedicated and skilled operations team. Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major
  • 8 years experience in management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • OR 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 6 years experience in management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • Proven capability in strategic planning and team leadership
  • Ability to work collaboratively with executive teams
  • Commitment to upholding brand standards and service excellence

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration or related field with 8 years experience in management or sales
  • OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field with 6 years experience in management or sales
  • Demonstrated leadership and operational management skills
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Manage profitability and departmental budgets
  • Ensure all operational areas provide a conducive atmosphere for guest experience
  • Review financial reports and facilitate improvement in financial performance
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with brand goals
