Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 8 years experience in management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • or 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 6 years experience in management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • strong leadership and managerial skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage budgets and financial performance
  • capability to oversee diverse hotel departments

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 8 years’ experience in management operations or related professional area
  • or 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 6 years’ experience in management operations or related professional area
  • strong leadership and team management skills

Job Duties

  • function as the strategic business leader of property operations and act as general manager in his/her absence
  • manage profitability and departmental budgets
  • review financial reports and analyze operational performance against budget
  • develop and implement operations strategy aligned with brand service strategy
  • oversee front office, retail/gift shops, recreation/fitness center, housekeeping, security/loss prevention, engineering/maintenance, food and beverage/culinary, and event management departments
  • coach and support operations team to manage occupancy, wages, and controllable expenses
  • ensure all operational areas foster an atmosphere conducive to guest satisfaction
  • conduct regular building tours to assess business needs and operational opportunities
  • establish a vision for product and service delivery on property and champion brand’s service vision
  • hire and develop operations management team
  • conduct annual performance appraisals with direct reports
  • foster employee commitment to excellent service and maintain open communication with staff
  • address employee problems or concerns through an open door policy
  • implement brand and regional business initiatives and communicate follow-up actions to team as necessary
