Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field
  • Minimum three years managerial experience in a full-service hotel
  • Proven expertise in hotel operations including sales, marketing, human resources, finance, and guest services
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and hotel management software
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and develop budgeting plans
  • Experience in implementing compliance and safety standards
  • Capability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with guests, employees, and community stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years experience as Hotel Manager or Director of Rooms
  • Experience in all areas of hotel management including sales, marketing, operations, people & culture, food and beverage, and budget management
  • Full-service property experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and web analytics tools preferred
  • College degree or equivalent in hotel business or related field
  • Demonstrated understanding of property safety and security procedures
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Strong communication abilities including verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in financial understanding and basic arithmetic
  • Typing speed of 45 wpm
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Opera software preferred
  • Commitment to high standards of professionalism, integrity, and leadership.

Job Duties

  • Oversee all hotel operations with a focus on driving revenue and controlling costs
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and People & Culture teams
  • Manage budgetary guidelines and financial reporting with accuracy
  • Develop and implement staffing plans based on sales forecasts
  • Protect hotel assets through appropriate maintenance and security programs
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and create a positive work environment
  • Lead and motivate property-level leadership teams to achieve business objectives
  • Curate exceptional guest experiences to meet 4-star and 4-diamond standards
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Establish strategic alliances and presence in the local community
  • Participate in revenue and sales meetings to maximize profitability
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators including GOP and departmental profit margins
  • Ensure hotel policies, safety, emergency procedures, and sanitation standards are upheld
  • Manage all hotel employees across departments including Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales, Front Office, and Reservations
  • Coach and develop leadership and team members for career growth
  • Promote a service culture centered on authentic guest connections and satisfaction
  • Oversee branding and public relations efforts to enhance hotel image.
