This position involves supervising activities such as painting, performing structural repairs, handling basic electrical and plumbing tasks, and maintaining the overall upkeep of hotel buildings and grounds. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years of maintenance supervisory experience
  • familiarity with building maintenance techniques and tools
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds
  • strong organizational skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • valid driver’s license
  • willingness to follow company policies and maintain professional appearance
  • commitment to safety practices and standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous supervisory experience in maintenance or a related field
  • knowledge of painting, masonry, woodwork, electrical, and plumbing repairs
  • basic understanding of landscaping and grounds maintenance
  • ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • proficiency in scheduling and inventory management
  • problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • knowledge of safety regulations and practices
  • ability to motivate and train staff
  • valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Directs and trains hotel maintenance staff in painting, structural repairs, basic electrical and plumbing tasks, and preventive maintenance
  • directs and trains staff in ground maintenance activities such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and leaf removal
  • directs and trains staff in cleaning and upkeep of hotel buildings including buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and washing windows
  • assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading supplies
  • inventories, requisitions, and purchases tools, equipment, and supplies
  • inspects completed work to ensure compliance with blueprints and standards
  • plans production schedules and estimates worker hours
  • enforces safety regulations and company policies
  • adjusts work procedures to meet production goals
  • suggests improvements to working conditions and equipment use
  • analyzes and resolves work-related problems
  • motivates staff to meet work objectives
  • coordinates activities with other supervisors
  • performs maintenance department activities
  • runs errands and drives as needed to support business needs
