The hotel is looking for a skilled Engineer to join its non-management team on a full-time schedule, with a competitive pay rate of $25.00 per hour. Candidate availability on weekends and flexibility for shifts are preferred, complemented by employee discounts and a supportive work environment.
The Engineer position demands a highly versatile and knowledgeable individual capable of addressing guest repair needs and maintaining the physical infrastructure of the hotel. This role involves responding promptly to maintenance requests, performing preventive upkeep of equipment, and executing complex repairs across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate is proficient in troubleshooting and repairing a diverse array of equipment, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, and general building systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
A key responsibility is maintaining communication with guests and colleagues to resolve issues efficiently and assure seamless operations across shifts. The successful applicant must adhere to all Marriott’s standards related to guest service, professionalism, confidentiality, and teamwork to support a positive and productive workplace environment.
This role is ideal for candidates with a technical and vocational background and considerable experience in general maintenance or hotel engineering, including electrical, refrigeration, and painting tasks. While supervisory experience is not required, the ability to take initiative and perform Engineer on Duty tasks is essential. Additionally, candidates must hold relevant certifications like Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification and a valid driver’s license, complying with state and federal licensing requirements.
Joining Courtyard by Marriott signifies becoming part of a global team known for fostering career advancement and encouraging employees to do their best work while having fun.
