Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • two plus years experience as a cook or in a related role
  • ability to pass a Food Handler certification exam
  • physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • availability to work holidays, weekends, and varied shifts
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Two plus years experience as a cook or in a related role
  • validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • able to pass a Food Handler certification exam
  • sufficient education or training to read, write, count and follow verbal and written instructions
  • able to work quickly and concisely under pressure
  • available to work holidays and weekends as well as shorter or longer hours due to business volume

Job Duties

  • Work effectively with team members to deliver exceptional customer service
  • maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
  • cook and prepare food following production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • ensure timely preparation and proper temperature and appearance of all food items

  • monitor and ensure all staff comply with shift times and scheduled breaks
  • coordinate and assist in setting up and breaking down stations
  • use and care for kitchen equipment including knives, stoves, freezers, and other machinery
  • coordinate and assist in maintaining a clean and organized work and storage area
  • assist with catering and special events as needed
  • adhere to the uniform policy
  • adhere to Aramark and client companies, local county, and OSHA safety policies and procedures for food safety, sanitation, storage and disposal
