This job opportunity is for the position of Housekeeping Supervisor at Kinseth Hotel Corporation. The role is essential to maintaining the pristine condition and welcoming environment of the hotel. The Housekeeping Supervisor will directly oversee the housekeeping operations, ensuring that all guest rooms and public spaces meet the company’s high cleanliness standards. This is a full-time role where the candidate will lead a team of 10 to 30 housekeeping employees, managing daily operations and scheduling to maximize efficiency within budgetary guidelines. The position requires hands-on leadership as well as administrative responsibilities like inventory management, staff training, and performance evaluation.
The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a pivotal role in guest satisfaction by promptly responding to guest inquiries and addressing any housekeeping-related concerns. The supervisor is also responsible for ensuring compliance with safety protocols, particularly concerning chemical usage and proper handling of cleaning equipment. The role involves routine inspections of guestrooms, public areas, carpets, furniture, and drapes to determine maintenance needs such as cleaning, repairs, or replacements. This position supports the hotel’s overall appearance and functionality, contributing directly to the guest experience and the property’s reputation.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 2 years experience in housekeeping or related field
- proven supervisory or team leadership experience
- familiarity with safety regulations and chemical handling
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping or supervisory experience in hospitality preferred
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- ability to lead and manage a team
- strong communication and organizational skills
- experience with inventory management
- customer service orientation
- understanding of budget management
- knowledge of housekeeping standards and protocols
Job Duties
- Establishes standards and procedures for hotel housekeeping and laundry operations including safety, chemical usage, cleaning, and storage
- plans work schedules to ensure adequate service within budgeted labor guidelines
- monitors chemical systems and laundry procedures for cost control
- maintains MSDS sheets and educates staff on safety protocols
- inspects hotel guestrooms daily and assists in cleaning or laundry as needed
- ensures proper storage and security of housekeeping room keys
- communicates regularly with Front Desk on room inventory status and updates front desk system
- ensures guest satisfaction by promptly addressing questions, concerns or problems
- inspects and evaluates physical condition of property including carpets, drapes, and furniture
- plans for carpet shampooing, mattress turning, deep cleaning during spring/fall
- submits recommendations for hotel painting, repairs, furnishings, equipment relocation, and reallocation of space
- inventories and purchases supplies and equipment per purchasing guidelines and budget
- investigates new and improved cleaning instruments and methods
- inventories and manages guest lost and found
- schedules and inspects deep cleaning activities
