We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeping Lead to join our team. This pivotal role bridges leadership and hands-on housekeeping, ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. The Hotel Housekeeping Lead is responsible for guiding and training housekeepers, enforcing departmental policies, and conducting thorough inspections to uphold the quality and safety protocols of the hotel environment.
This position requires a leader who thrives on fostering teamwork, maintaining operational efficiency, and enhancing the guest experience through meticulous attention to detail. You will be entrusted with maintaining inventory and ensuring all supplies and equipment needed for housekeeping are well-managed and in good condition. Moreover, you will actively participate in cleaning duties, setting an example for your team to follow.
The successful candidate will have at least one year of housekeeping or custodial experience and possess a solid understanding of cleaning chemicals, safety protocols, and hospitality industry standards. Ideal applicants may also bring prior experience from hotel, resort, or casino housekeeping environments and hold a high school diploma or GED. Proficiency in English, strong communication skills, and the physical ability to perform demanding tasks—such as standing for extended periods, lifting, and bending—are critical to success in this role.

Job Requirements
- At least one year of housekeeping and/or custodial experience
- Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time
- Ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as making beds and vacuuming
- Ability to reach, push, pull, kneel and bend
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
- Ability to appear for work on time
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Hotel, resort or casino housekeeping experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to provide guidance to staff
- Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and chemical safety
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions
- Ability to complete forms and documents
Job Duties
- Provide guidance to hotel housekeeping staff by training housekeepers, instructing staff on departmental policies and procedures, monitoring team member performance, conducting visual cleanliness inspections of guest rooms, providing guidance and training to team members as needed, reporting out of compliance behaviors to the assistant executive housekeeper
- Maintain adequate supply of cleaning supplies and paper goods by auditing inventory, retrieving necessary supplies and paper goods, storing supplies, keeping work carts orderly with supplies, ensuring equipment is in good working order before and after use, completing inventory sheets following established procedures
- Clean and sanitize hotel guest rooms by gathering and inspecting linens for quality and cleanliness, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting and polishing room furnishings, sweeping balconies, wiping outdoor furnishings, replenishing drinking glasses, towels, soap and supplies following established procedures
