We are currently seeking a dedicated part-time Housekeeping Attendant to join our team. The individual in this role will work from 8 am to 4 pm with availability required on both weekdays and weekends. This position is integral to ensuring the cleanliness and overall comfort of guestrooms, which directly contributes to an outstanding guest experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining guest rooms and public areas to the highest company and brand standards, adhering closely to established protocols for cleanliness and safety.
The role involves a hands-on approach to cleaning, including changing linens, removing trash, replenishing amenities, dusting, vacuuming, and ensuring bathrooms are sanitized to the hotel's exacting standards. Additionally, the Housekeeping Attendant will manage housekeeping supplies efficiently, maintaining neat and orderly carts and linen closets, and promptly reporting any maintenance issues or supply shortages to management. Job Requirements
- 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred
- Flexible work hours to accommodate last minute schedule changes
- Availability to work weekend shifts
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe chemical use
- Ability to adjust energy level in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to achieve required inspection scores
- Ability to stand for long periods, kneel, bend, crawl, squat, and lift at least 30 lbs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and techniques
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely
- Ability to work weekends and flexible schedule
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Ensures customer satisfaction by cleaning customer rooms according to company and brand standards
- Removes soiled bed and bath linens and replaces with clean linens as required
- Removes accumulated trash and debris from rooms
- Cleans bathroom area, dusts all surfaces, replenishes room amenities, cleans floors and vacuums rooms
- Reports unusual circumstances to hotel management
- Reports maintenance requests and replacement orders
- Maintains supply cart neatness and organization
- Organizes and cleans the linen closet and notifies management of stock shortages
