The role of the housekeeping attendant is critical in upholding our high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. As a housekeeping attendant, you will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms to ensure that each room offers a comfortable and spotless environment for our guests. This includes making beds, dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and replenishing amenities. Additionally, you will maintain the cleanliness of public spaces such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common areas by performing sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting duties regularly.
This position also involves caring for flooring through specialized floor care procedures, including buffing and polishing when necessary, ensuring that every surface is well maintained and inviting. Part of your duties will include restocking supplies such as towels, toiletries, linens, and other essentials needed to enhance guest comfort and convenience throughout their stay. Reporting maintenance issues or damages promptly to management will also be a key responsibility to support safety and quality standards.
Following health and safety protocols diligently is crucial in this role to prevent accidents and comply with sanitation regulations, guaranteeing a safe environment for guests and staff alike. In addition to cleaning duties, you will assist with laundry responsibilities for linens and towels, ensuring that all items are thoroughly cleaned, organized, and properly stored. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety guidelines
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
