The Hotel Host at Hyatt Place plays a crucial role in manifesting the hotel's commitment to superior guest service and fostering teamwork among the staff. A Hotel Host acts as the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for maintaining a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment throughout various guest-centric areas such as the Hotel Host Stand, Bakery Café, Guest Kitchen, e-room, and the TV den. Additionally, the role encompasses guest check-in and check-out procedures and servicing the meeting rooms. This comprehensive set of duties requires a versatile and attentive individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys engaging with diverse guests.

This full-time position necessitates someone who values high standards of excellence in customer service, possesses strong communication skills, and can manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. The Hotel Host must be highly flexible, available to work AM and PM shifts, including weekends and holidays, to adequately meet the dynamic needs of the hospitality industry. Candidates should have previous guest service experience, preferably in a hotel or related field, and demonstrate proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Computer literacy, including basic skills in word processing and spreadsheets, is also required. Physical capability to handle moderate lifting and ensuring the upkeep of various hotel areas is a must. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous customer service experience preferably in a hotel or related field
  • schedule flexibility including weekends and holidays
  • strong English communication skills
  • ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • physical ability to lift at least 20 lbs
  • basic computer proficiency

Job Duties

  • create a welcoming and hospitable environment for hotel guests
  • manage the Hotel Host Stand and assist with guest inquiries and needs

  • perform guest check-in and check-out efficiently and courteously
  • service and maintain meeting rooms before and after events
