Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a hotel or high-end retail environment desired
  • Ability to work in an environment with exposure to alcohol and smoking
  • Must be able to secure and maintain licensure as required by Louisiana Gaming Control Board or applicable regulatory entity
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Capable of frequent walking, standing, some sitting, bending, kneeling, and climbing steps
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to document information legibly
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hotel or high-end retail environment desired
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and staff
  • Understanding of guest service principles
  • Familiarity with front desk operations and cashiering procedures
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Competence in handling guest check-in and check-out processes
  • Knowledge of hotel reservation systems preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain complete knowledge of hotel features, services, hours of operation, room types, layout, rates, packages, and daily activities
  • Comply with all hotel and departmental policies and procedures including front and back of house operations
  • Manage assigned bank and ensure accuracy and security of contracted monies
  • Answer telephone calls promptly using correct etiquette
  • Promote positive guest relations and provide information congenially
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs according to hotel requirements
  • Confirm reservations, assign rooms, and handle walk-in guests
  • Collect guest payment information and issue parking passes
  • Communicate services, amenities, and VIP arrivals to designated personnel
  • Document guest requests, complaints, or problems and ensure resolution
  • Provide detailed voicemail and wake-up call service
  • Perform cashiering duties including processing vouchers, making change, posting charges, and balancing receipts
  • Assist with reservation calls and provide concierge service when necessary
  • Support other front office duties and maintain guest history files
  • Document maintenance needs and other duties as assigned
