Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1+ year of hotel sales/service experience
  • Experience at a similar size and quality hotel preferred
  • Previous Hilton experience preferred
  • Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays depending on business demands
  • Must have computer experience in Microsoft Word and Excel in Windows
  • Prior experience with the Delphi software preferred

  • Ability to work some weekends and holidays
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Prior experience with Delphi software preferred

Job Duties

  • Create dynamic and positive relationships with meeting planners from sales phase through on-site execution of event
  • Actively prospect and qualify new business
  • Handle inquiry calls and provide client proposals in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
  • Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients
  • Maintain accurate information in sales management tool (Delphi) on leads, account information, and solicitation activities
  • Produce weekly and monthly sales-related reports and sales forecasts
  • Produce and review sales contracts and banquet/catering event orders
  • Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Follow proper event management procedures for event execution
  • Maintain accurate and timely internal hotel communication
  • Adopt a proactive and assertive sales approach
  • Communicate effectively with the public and associates
  • Utilize computers and Microsoft Office
  • Manage time efficiently
  • Detail events and create Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Document and organize detailed function requirements
  • Coordinate various departments to service accounts
  • Communicate with Sales, Front Office, Catering, and Reservations for guest room blocks and special reservation needs
  • Assign banquet and meeting room setup based on client needs
  • Review banquet personnel work for accuracy
  • Monitor in-house group activity and provide assistance
  • Ensure functions proceed according to the BEO
  • Establish rapport and entertain meeting planners while promoting hotel facilities
  • Conduct walking site inspections throughout the property
  • Assist sales staff in lead development and re-bookings
  • Plan and conduct pre- and post-convention meetings
  • Track group activity and input data into computer systems
  • Support and develop weekly and monthly revenue forecasts
  • Participate in business review meetings, sales blitzes, and sales meetings
