Job Description

PAH Management is a reputable hotel management company that prioritizes placing associates first while delivering excellent hospitality services. They operate various properties under renowned brands, including Marriott's Doubletree. Known for their commitment to operational excellence and guest satisfaction, PAH Management continuously strives to be America’s preferred hotel management company. Positioned as a hands-on and dynamic leader, they emphasize a culture that drives both associate engagement and business performance. Their properties are generally located in high-growth markets, and they offer competitive compensation and benefits to their employees.

The Hotel General Manager at Doubletree Charlotte Airport serves as the primary business leader with full accountability for all hotel operations. This includes guest satisfaction, associate engagement, financial performance, sales activity, brand compliance, and ownership returns. Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, this role requires leadership of the property management team, setting the cultural tone for the hotel, and ensuring smooth daily operations that reflect the Doubletree brand standards and PAH Management’s associate-first philosophy. The General Manager must be visible, approachable, and committed to maintaining Altoft’s energetic lifestyle brand atmosphere.

This position involves strategic and operational leadership encompassing a wide range of responsibilities such as overseeing financial performance, driving sales efforts, maintaining the physical condition of the hotel, and ensuring compliance with safety and brand standards. The role demands a sharp operational and commercial mindset, including the ability to forecast financial performance accurately and control costs. The manager will also play an active role in sales, reinforcing relationships within the local business community and aligning property-level strategies with the broader brand and corporate objectives.

People leadership is critical for this role. The General Manager is expected to develop, motivate, and hold accountable an effective multi-departmental team. This includes coaching managers, facilitating training and development programs, conducting interviews, and fostering a positive workplace culture where fairness, inclusivity, and associate engagement are paramount. The role requires regular interaction with human resources to address employee relations and staffing challenges whenever they arise.

Safety and compliance are also top priorities. The General Manager must ensure the property adheres to all applicable legal, brand, and corporate standards. This includes maintaining current licenses and certificates, enforcing safety training, and handling incident reporting promptly and professionally. The work environment is fully on-site at the Doubletree, Charlotte Airport, with expectations of flexibility due to the 24/7 nature of the hospitality industry. Occasional travel within the Arkansas regional portfolio may be required.

Candidates should possess a minimum of four years of progressive hotel operations experience, with at least two years in a General Manager or equivalent role, or hold relevant academic qualifications with equivalent management experience. Exemplary financial acumen, leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, and proficiency in industry-related technology systems are essential. Marriott brand experience or certification is highly preferred, as is familiarity with the Charlotte market or similar dynamic markets.

Overall, this is a challenging yet rewarding leadership role offering a competitive base salary with quarterly performance bonuses and an extensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, retirement plans, employee incentive programs, paid time off, and hotel stay perks. Joining PAH Management means being part of a forward-thinking company committed to both operational success and associate well-being.
