Hyatt Place Columbus / OSU, managed by Columbus Hospitality Management, is seeking a dynamic and visionary General Manager to lead the property into its next phase of success. This full-time leadership position plays a pivotal role in overseeing every facet of hotel operations, ensuring impeccable guest experiences, team engagement, and strong financial performance. The General Manager will act as a strategic business leader dedicated to managing the hotel as a profitable enterprise, inspiring the team through effective coaching, training, and leadership.

The role demands a professional with deep hospitality operations insight who can manage departments such as Front Desk, Housekeeping, Laundry, Facilities, and Guest Services while upholding the highest Hyatt brand standards. The General Manager is responsible for driving financial results through effective budgeting, cost control, and revenue initiatives including sales, marketing, and revenue management strategies tailored to maximize occupancy and profitability. This position also requires cultivating strong community relations and fostering partnerships that support the hotel’s reputation and business growth.

In addition to operational excellence, the General Manager champions a culture of service innovation and continuous improvement, motivating the team to perform at their best. The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in hotel or resort management, preferably within the Hyatt brand. Strong financial acumen and operational expertise are critical to managing the hotel’s budget and financial planning effectively. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to lead diverse teams and establish strategic partnerships.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) certification is considered a valuable asset. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and hospitality management systems is necessary to efficiently handle daily operations and reporting. Physical demands include the ability to lift or pull up to 30 pounds, and the position requires standing or walking for extended periods as well as local and regional travel, with a valid driver’s license mandatory.
