Job Requirements
- Minimum one year experience as a general manager
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Must comply with company attendance and appearance standards
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws relevant to hotel operations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- Minimum one year experience as a general manager required
- Experience with WoodSpring or Choice-branded hotels preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficient in financial management and analysis
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Knowledge of hotel operations and customer service excellence
Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Manage all sources of revenue including rooms, food and beverage, and internet
- Create local marketing plans and pricing strategies
- Manage monthly financial reports and monitor budget compliance
- Conduct daily and weekly property walk-throughs
- Manage human resources functions including employee motivation and retention
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Participate in sales discussions and meetings
- Protect hotel assets through preventative maintenance
