Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience as a general manager
  • Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Must comply with company attendance and appearance standards
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws relevant to hotel operations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum one year experience as a general manager required
  • Experience with WoodSpring or Choice-branded hotels preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficient in financial management and analysis
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and customer service excellence

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Manage all sources of revenue including rooms, food and beverage, and internet
  • Create local marketing plans and pricing strategies
  • Manage monthly financial reports and monitor budget compliance
  • Conduct daily and weekly property walk-throughs
  • Manage human resources functions including employee motivation and retention
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws
  • Participate in sales discussions and meetings
  • Protect hotel assets through preventative maintenance
