Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum two years of guest service experience
  • basic cash handling skills
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • ability to multitask and prioritize
  • ability to maintain professionalism
  • ability to perform data entry accurately
  • ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • ability to work in a smoking environment
  • reliable attendance
  • maintain confidentiality
  • basic math proficiency

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of guest service experience
  • hospitality or lodging experience is desirable
  • cash handling experience is a plus
  • ability to interact effectively with team members and guests
  • ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks
  • effective communication skills in English
  • ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • proficiency in data entry
  • professionalism and composure under pressure
  • openness to constructive criticism
  • ability to read and complete forms
  • basic math skills
  • ability to sit or stand for up to eight hours
  • ability to work in a smoking environment
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • punctuality
  • working knowledge of Infor HMS system is desirable
  • familiarity with MS Word and Excel software is desirable
  • multilingual abilities are a plus

Job Duties

  • Register hotel guests by acknowledging and welcoming them
  • retrieve and enter guest information and credit card details into the database
  • provide guests with hotel room information, resort amenities, and keys following established procedures
  • assist guests with transportation, wake-up calls, and room service requests
  • offer information on casino promotions, contests, giveaways, and concerts
  • resolve guest disputes and treat guests in a friendly and courteous manner
  • enter cash transactions into the property management system
  • count currency and log guest discounts, vouchers, VIP points, and credit cards
  • balance money drawer against cashier report and report discrepancies to management
  • maintain a professional department image in team and guest interactions
  • secure confidential and sensitive data
  • perform other assigned duties as needed
