Job Description
The Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation has a rich ancestral heritage, dating back centuries when the tribe thrived as a close-knit community engaged in farming, hunting, and fishing for sustenance. Today, the Sycuan Tribe continues to honor its legacy through governance of its Reservation and operation of various enterprises, including a state-of-the-art casino and a beautiful golf resort located in the San Diego region. Alongside these ventures, Sycuan owns multiple businesses contributing to the economic growth and prosperity of the community it serves. The tribe is deeply rooted in its values, prioritizing a sense of togetherness and community spirit. These principles guide every aspect of its operations, enriching both the work environment and the guest experience.
The Sycuan Tribe’s enterprises are more than just business establishments; they represent a close community where employees and guests alike are considered part of the Sycuan family. Whether working in the casino, resort, or tribal government divisions, staff members contribute to a shared vision of excellence, cultural respect, and outstanding service.
Sycuan is inviting passionate individuals to join their team as a Hotel Front Office Agent, a pivotal role within their hospitality operations. This is a frontline position where you will serve as the welcoming face and friendly voice to every guest entering the hotel. The role is hourly paid and offers an engaging opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. Your presence will be instrumental in setting the tone for guests’ stays and elevating their overall experience from check-in through check-out.
As a Hotel Front Office Agent, you will take on responsibilities that include guest registration, providing detailed information about the resort amenities, assisting with transportation and wake-up calls, and addressing any guest concerns with warmth and professionalism. The role demands strong interpersonal skills to ensure guests feel valued and supported during their visit, and a keen eye for accuracy while handling accounting tasks such as payment processing and cash management.
The successful candidate will be experienced in guest services, ideally with a background in hospitality or lodging, and possess cash handling skills. You will be proficient in multitasking and prioritizing in a dynamic setting, able to communicate effectively in English, and capable of maintaining composure under pressure. Familiarity with property management systems, ideally Infor HMS, and software like MS Word and Excel is desirable, along with the advantage of being multilingual.
Working at Sycuan offers more than just a job; it is an invitation to be part of a welcoming and supportive community that values your contributions and encourages professional growth. If you are committed to delivering memorable guest experiences and thrive in a collaborative environment, Sycuan could be your next career destination. Join a team where your skills and dedication will make a genuine impact, and become a valued member of the Sycuan family.
