Job Requirements
- Open availability for shifts including 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, and 11pm-7am
- ability to commute or relocate to Baton Rouge, LA 70809
- prior Marriott experience preferred
- ability to work full-time or part-time
- ability to handle guest interactions professionally
- adherence to company uniform and appearance standards
- capability to perform cash handling and balance registers
- compliance with safety and emergency protocols
- legally authorized to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in hotel front desk or customer service roles
- Marriott Front Office System (FOSSE) knowledge preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to handle cash and basic accounting procedures
- proficiency with computer reservation and property management systems
- excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities
- ability to remain calm under pressure
- knowledge of local area and hospitality industry standards
- commitment to customer service excellence
Job Duties
- Assist guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally in all front desk functions
- provide the highest level of service to guests at all times
- promptly and effectively handle guest requests and complaints
- check guests in and out in a friendly manner
- accurately post guest charges and compute bills using PMS
- collect payment and handle cash according to procedures
- handle mail, faxes, and messages
- promote brand loyalty programs
- develop knowledge of hotel amenities and local area
- manage future and same-day reservations
- answer switchboard with proper telephone etiquette
- block rooms and handle special requests
- manage wake-up call requests
- keep lobby and desk clean and presentable
- understand emergency and security procedures
- open and close shifts with accurate cash handling
- communicate with Sales, Engineering, and Housekeeping departments
- provide excellent customer service following the 15/5 rule
- comply with company rules and standards of appearance
- maintain a professional image and promote teamwork
