The Front Desk Agent plays a vital role as the first and last point of contact for guests at the hotel. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a hotel front desk agent
- Proficient with computer applications including Excel and Word
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of hotel front desk agent experience required
- Computer knowledge of Excel and Word
- College coursework in related field helpful
- Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner
- Provide warm, knowledgeable assistance to guests to ensure an effortless and memorable experience
- Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location
- Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner
- Up-sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue
- Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established procedures including but not limited to posting all charges, completing cashier and other reports, preparing deposit, and counting/securing assigned bank
- Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up
- Respond appropriately to guest complaints
- Make appropriate service recovery gestures in order to ensure total guest satisfaction
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments
- Perform other duties as assigned
