The Hotel Front Desk Agent will handle guest check-ins and check-outs, manage reservations through various platforms including phone and online booking systems, and ensure guests are well-informed about room options, rates, and hotel amenities. The position requires strong customer service skills, proficiency with hotel reservations software like Booking.com, and the ability to resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.\n\nThis part-time position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $17.00 to $18.00 and offers valuable benefits such as a 401(k) plan and employee discounts. The successful candidate will have experience with HotelKey or PEP systems and be flexible for day, night, and overnight shifts to meet the diverse scheduling needs of our hotel. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year work experience in hotel or front desk roles
  • Proven experience with HotelKey or PEP systems
  • Availability to work day, night, and overnight shifts
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Basic knowledge of payment processing and credit card verification
  • Ability to handle guest complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work in person

Job Qualifications

  • Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or similar role
  • Experience with hotel reservations software, like Booking.com
  • Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor
  • Customer service attitude
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • HotelKey PMS system experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
  • Manage online and phone reservations
  • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
  • Register guests collecting necessary information like contact details and exact dates of their stay
  • Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
  • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities
  • Respond to clients' complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully furnished to accommodate guests' needs
  • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests
  • Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
