Aramark is a global leader in food and facilities management, operating in 15 countries and serving millions of guests every day. Known for delivering high-quality services to a variety of sectors including education, healthcare, business, and leisure, Aramark prides itself on its commitment to service excellence and its mission to do great things for its employees, partners, communities, and the planet. With a strong emphasis on professional growth and an inclusive work culture, Aramark offers a dynamic environment where employees can develop their talents and pursue rewarding careers.
The Food & Beverage Manager position at LEGOLAND California Resort is a pivotal leadership role within Aramark’s hospitality operations. This role involves overseeing and coordinating the efforts of the Hotel Assistant Managers and their teams, ensuring that guests receive exceptional food and beverage service. The primary responsibilities include driving operational effectiveness, staff development, and cost control while maintaining high standards in food safety and customer satisfaction.
The manager will be deeply involved in the strategic planning and daily management of food service operations, focusing on efficiency, quality, sanitation, and employee performance. Leading by example, the Food & Beverage Manager spends time on the floor in various facilities, offering hands-on feedback and support aimed at continuously improving the guest experience.
This role demands strong financial acumen, as it includes responsibilities such as budgeting, monitoring labor hours, controlling food costs, and managing inventory. The position also entails workforce management duties such as motivating and developing staff, overseeing promotions and transfers, and enforcing company policies and regulatory compliance. Working closely with culinary leadership, the manager ensures adherence to safety guidelines including OSHA and HACCP standards, and maintains a safe and sanitary working environment.
Beyond operational and human resources oversight, the Food & Beverage Manager acts as a key liaison for divisional and park support, stepping into roles such as MOD or Park Duty Director as needed. This flexibility helps guarantee seamless guest services and efficient departmental performance within the resort.
The role requires a minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience in food service, preferably in themed environments. The ideal candidate will be customer-centric with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills coupled with a good understanding of budget management. Education at the bachelor’s degree level in Food Service, Hospitality, or Business Management is highly preferred.
Physically, the role involves activities like lifting, bending, and prolonged standing, often in varied temperature conditions and environments requiring personal protective equipment. Flexibility in work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential to support the hotel’s operational needs.
Compensation for this salaried position ranges from $71,500 to $74,500 annually, reflecting the value Aramark places on experienced leadership. The company offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and work/life resources, alongside retirement savings plans and paid time off such as parental leave and disability coverage.
Joining Aramark at LEGOLAND California Resort means becoming part of a mission-driven organization that values equality, diversity, and employee development. It provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vibrant team dedicated to delivering memorable guest experiences in a unique and exciting environment.
