Aramark is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at LEGOLAND California Resort. The hourly compensation for this position is competitive, ranging from $23.50 to $23.85, reflecting the importance of this role within the organization.

The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager will support and assist the Hotel Food and Beverage Manager in daily operations, ensuring the smooth running of all food and beverage outlets. This role entails providing direct support to the Front of House leadership team and stepping in to lead whenever necessary. A core responsibility is upholding the highest standards of customer service by engaging with guests empathetically and professionally, addressing any concerns promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience for all visitors. The role demands versatility, often requiring the individual to assist with various restaurant duties including cooking, serving, bussing, hosting, bartending, dishwashing, and cleaning. This hands-on approach fosters a supportive leadership style and promotes a cohesive team environment.

In addition to customer engagement, the role encompasses important HR responsibilities such as scheduling staff using appropriate software to maintain efficient coverage, conducting interviews for new hires, managing employee relations, and enforcing disciplinary actions in line with company policies. Safety is paramount; the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager must ensure all equipment functions correctly and that the establishment meets all health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards and local county requirements. They are responsible for training team leaders and staff on health and safety procedures to maintain compliance and pass audits.

Financial management is another key aspect of the position. The Assistant Manager will work diligently to minimize food waste, monitor financial reports, manage labor hours efficiently, and oversee accurate payroll reporting. They will also be involved in inventory management for the restaurant locations. Additional duties may include assisting with catering events and preparing daily operational reports for management.

This role is ideal for someone with at least two years of progressive leadership experience in food service, particularly in a full-service environment, with bar experience being advantageous. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and supervisory skills, capable of managing and motivating staff while maintaining a positive workplace culture. Physical stamina is required due to the active nature of the job, which involves frequent lifting, walking, standing, and the ability to work in varied temperature conditions and around kitchen equipment. The position requires adaptability and a positive demeanor given the dynamic and fast-paced setting of LEGOLAND California Resort.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 2 years of progressive experience in food service leadership
