Job Duties
- Manage and lead the housekeeping staff including hiring training scheduling and evaluating their performance
- Ensure all guest rooms public areas and back-of-house spaces meet cleanliness and maintenance standards
- Manage the housekeeping budget including labor costs inventory of cleaning supplies and amenities
- Oversee the ordering stocking and usage of housekeeping supplies ensuring proper inventory control
- Develop and enforce housekeeping policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Work closely with other departments such as maintenance and front desk to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Address and resolve guest complaints or requests related to housekeeping promptly and professionally
- Ensure the department complies with health and safety regulations including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Regularly inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet quality standards and address any issues identified
- Foster a positive work environment providing ongoing training and development opportunities for the housekeeping team
