Job Description

Hyatt Regency San Antonio is looking for an Event Sales Manager to join its events team. The hotel offers 630 guest rooms and 29,000 square feet of event space, providing unique opportunities to impress and delight future groups within the local market. The Event Sales Manager will be responsible for capturing local catering business and maximizing banquet space to exceed sales goals, working closely with an Event Coordinator to plan and execute events effectively. This is an on-site position that requires a strong presence at the hotel.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of hotel Event Sales Management experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree and/or 3+ years of hotel and/or food & beverage experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the San Antonio social and local events market
  • Experience with vendors and leveraging business relationships
  • Participation in local networking organizations
  • Proficiency in Hyatt sales systems and Microsoft products
  • Strong communication skills
  • Creative development of marketing concepts
  • Understanding of negotiation and contracts
  • Experience in data analytics
  • Strong leadership and team guidance skills
  • Detailed-oriented and organized
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of hotel operational departments
  • Manage meeting space for revenue optimization
  • Timely follow-up with clients
