The role available is a Full-Time, Non-Management position within the Engineering and Facilities department of The Miami Beach EDITION. This position is fundamental to maintaining the hotel’s high standards by ensuring that all engineering and maintenance needs are efficiently met. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding promptly and effectively to guest repair requests, communicating professionally with guests to resolve maintenance issues, and performing preventative maintenance tasks on various tools and equipment. The role demands advanced technical skills including the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics, and proficiency in multiple technical fields such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and general building management.

Further responsibilities include conducting complex repairs on the hotel’s physical property and mechanical systems, troubleshooting a wide range of equipment, and adhering strictly to safety standards, including proper use of Lockout/Tagout systems. The position requires not only technical expertise but also an ability to mentor junior engineers, perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, and maintain detailed communication across shifts. Practical physical demands include moving heavy objects, climbing stairs and ladders, and operating computer systems to access work-related information. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, complemented by a vocational or technical background, and at least two years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance. Additionally, possessing certifications such as a Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification and a valid driver's license is essential.
