Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- vocational or technical training
- minimum 2 years of relevant hotel engineering or maintenance experience preferred
- valid universal CFC certification
- valid driver’s license
- ability to work overnight shifts
- capacity to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, twisting
- thorough knowledge of safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout
- compliance with state and federal certifications and licensing
- availability for full-time, non-management position onsite at Amelia Island
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- vocational or technical background
- minimum 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience preferred
- extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical, refrigeration, and painting
- proficiency in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building management systems
- ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- advanced troubleshooting and repair skills
- experience using maintenance management software
- valid universal CFC certification
- valid driver’s license
- strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Respond to guest repair requests promptly and efficiently
- perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment including cleaning and lubrication
- visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for issues
- maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts as necessary
- troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical equipment, and pool heaters
- operate shut-off valves and carry necessary tools and communication devices
- follow safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout procedures
- communicate daily activities and maintenance issues across shifts
- read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
- use engineering software programs for maintenance and energy management
- train and mentor other engineering staff
- perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities including readings and rounds
- comply with all company and safety policies
- interact professionally with guests and assist those with disabilities
- perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, bending, and operating equipment safely
