As part of the globally recognized Marriott International brand, this establishment prides itself on delivering exceptional hospitality services to both business and leisure travelers. The hotel features modern amenities, comfortable accommodations, and excellent dining options, ensuring a memorable stay for all guests. Situated conveniently near business districts, shopping centers, and recreational areas, the Seattle Marriott Bellevue remains a premier choice for visitors seeking high-quality lodging in the Pacific Northwest region. With a commitment to excellence and community engagement, the hotel sets high standards in guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. This vibrant work environment fosters teamwork, professionalism, and continuous development among its employees.
The role of Engineer II at Seattle Marriott Bellevue plays a critical part in maintaining the hotel's infrastructure and ensuring the comfort and safety of its guests. This is a part-time, non-management position with open availability, offering an hourly wage of $29.61. The Engineer II is responsible for responding promptly to guest repair requests and addressing maintenance issues with minimal supervision, demonstrating technical skill and effective communication. The position involves performing preventive maintenance on various tools and equipment, conducting visual inspections, maintaining inventory, and requisitioning necessary parts. Engineers in this role must be proficient in several technical categories including air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic and electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicle maintenance, and energy conservation.
The role requires the use of hand and power tools for repair and maintenance tasks, and the engineer must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment ranging from plumbing fixtures to electrical devices. Additionally, the Engineer II is tasked with programming TVs, performing housekeeping-related engineering duties, surface preparation, painting, and minor drywall or wood trim repairs. Knowledge of safety systems such as Lockout/Tagout, and familiarity with engineering computer programs related to preventive maintenance and energy management, are essential. This position also includes mid-level troubleshooting responsibilities for the hotel’s Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The Engineer II supports and mentors junior engineers, assists with shift communications, and may perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities such as readings and rounds. The role demands adherence to all safety, security, and company policies, professionalism in appearance and conduct, and a guest-focused approach, ensuring all guests receive courteous and efficient service. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, navigate stairs and ladders, and perform various physical movements necessary for maintenance tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong technical background who thrive in a dynamic hospitality environment and who are committed to maintaining top-tier facility standards.
