Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- vocational or technical background
- at least 2 years of relevant hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- valid driver’s license
- ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- skill in repairing plumbing including soldering
- compliance with company safety policies
- physical capability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
- ability to work on ladders and perform physical movements like bending and twisting
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- vocational or technical background
- at least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- valid driver’s license
- ability to perform mid-level troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- basic repair skills on PVC and copper pipes
- familiarity with engineering computer programs
- ability to train and mentor others
- strong communication skills
- physical ability to perform job duties
Job Duties
- Respond to guest repair requests
- communicate with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues
- perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment including cleaning and lubrication
- visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and buildings
- maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
- communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts
- troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, plumbing and electrical equipment
- perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair
- replace light bulbs and air conditioning filters
- ensure safety compliance using Lockout/Tagout system
- train and mentor other engineers
- perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities including readings and rounds
- adhere to company safety and security policies
- maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
- welcome and assist guests
- develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members
- perform other reasonable job duties as requested
