Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- vocational or technical training
- at least 2 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance
- valid driver’s license
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds
- knowledge of safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout
- ability to communicate professionally with guests and staff
- compliance with state and federal licensing and certification requirements
Job Qualifications

- vocational or technical background
- at least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- proficiency in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance
- ability to troubleshoot and repair various equipment
- valid driver’s license
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- knowledge of preventive maintenance programs
- ability to mentor or train junior staff
- good communication skills
- adherence to safety standards
- basic carpentry and painting skills
Job Duties
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests
- communicate with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision
- perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment including cleaning and lubrication
- visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and buildings
- maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
- perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- display proficiency in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, and general building management
- use Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance work
- assist with surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair
- perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities
- follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
- welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
- develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members
- perform other reasonable job duties as requested
