As part of the Marriott family, The St. Regis brand is synonymous with timeless elegance, refined sophistication, and personalized experiences that cater to discerning travelers from around the world. This resort offers guests an unparalleled blend of comfort, style, and impeccable hospitality set against the stunning backdrop of the Florida coastline. The hotel’s commitment to excellence extends beyond guest services to include a robust and comprehensive approach to maintenance and facilities management. Ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of the property is paramount to delivering the high standards expected at this world-class establishment.

The Maintenance Technician role at The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort is a vital position within the Engineering and Facilities department. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills, including knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, as well as pneumatics and electronic controls. The technician must be adept at troubleshooting and repairing various equipment types, including plumbing fixtures, electrical components, vacuum cleaners, and guestroom items like televisions and internet devices. Safety is a critical component of this role, with the expectation that the technician will follow company safety policies rigorously, use lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance work, complete all required safety training and certifications, and safely store flammable materials.

Moreover, this position requires excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with guests and colleagues, ensuring that maintenance-related concerns are addressed promptly and professionally. The role demands physical stamina as it involves moving, lifting, and carrying objects up to 50 pounds and navigating stairs, ramps, and ladders. The Maintenance Technician will also contribute to landscaping repairs and upkeep of external sprinklers, demonstrating versatility and a hands-on approach to the care of the property.

This position is perfect for an individual with a high school diploma or GED equivalent, some general maintenance experience, particularly in surface preparation and painting, and preferably some background in hotel engineering or maintenance. A valid driver’s license is required. This role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a distinguished hospitality brand, contributing to creating memorable guest experiences through expert maintenance and impeccable facility standards.
