Job Description
The Tallahassee Market comprises the Courtyard and Residence Inn Tallahassee, two distinguished properties committed to delivering exceptional hospitality services driven by the philosophy of McKibbon Hospitality. McKibbon Hospitality is renowned for its dedication to upholding high ethical standards and fostering an environment where every associate is empowered to contribute to the success and growth of each property. As a dynamic leader in the hospitality industry, the company embraces its Guiding Principles which include Thinking Bigger, Loving Your Community, Doing the Right Thing, Supporting Each Other, and Making a Lasting Impression. These core values shape the daily operations and strategic direction of the Tallahassee market hotels.
The Dual Director of Sales position is a pivotal role within this leadership framework, responsible for overseeing the sales and revenue generation efforts for both the Courtyard and Residence Inn properties. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Dual Director of Sales serves as an essential member of the management team, charged with steering both properties towards achieving their ambitious business goals while maintaining the highest levels of integrity and professionalism. This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach, balancing a comprehensive understanding of market trends with adept team leadership and operational expertise.
The Dual Director of Sales leads a team focused on driving sales across all channels including group, transient, meeting, and catering segments. This position is instrumental in coordinating sales strategies, delegating responsibilities among sales associates, and ensuring exceptional execution of the company's sales processes and standards. The incumbent will provide training and coaching to sales staff, foster a collaborative sales environment, and ensure compliance with McKibbon Hospitality’s established procedures and tools such as Delphi systems for sales documentation and research.
Furthermore, this role demands active engagement with key industry reports like STR and End of Month reports to continually analyze market performance, anticipate revenue opportunities, and adjust strategies accordingly. The Dual Director of Sales also acts as a liaison between hotel operations and sales teams, ensuring alignment in achieving overall guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
Community involvement and relationship management are equally emphasized, as the Dual Director of Sales represents McKibbon Hospitality in local industry organizations and works closely with property owners, clients, and internal stakeholders. Leadership responsibilities include conducting performance reviews, cultivating growth opportunities for team members, managing recruitment, and driving a positive team culture focused on collaboration and accountability.
This role is suited for a seasoned sales leader with at least 3-5 years of leadership experience in hospitality sales, ideally with exposure to managing multiple properties and working with major hotel brands such as Marriott, Hilton, or Hyatt. A preferred educational background includes an associate or bachelor’s degree. The successful candidate should possess excellent communication, organizational skills, and a proven ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments while sustaining professionalism and strategic focus.
Operating within a competitive and evolving market, the Dual Director of Sales plays a crucial role in the sustained success story of the Courtyard and Residence Inn Tallahassee, making significant contributions to revenue growth and brand presence through innovative sales strategies and exemplary leadership.
