The role of a Hotel Host at Hyatt Place is integral to upholding the brand's commitment to superior guest service and teamwork. This involves managing multiple aspects of guest interaction and facility maintenance, including overseeing the Hotel Host Stand, operating the Placery Café, managing the Guest Kitchen, and tending to communal spaces such as the e-room and TV den. Additionally, the Hotel Host supports guest check-in and check-out processes and aids in the servicing of meeting rooms, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay for all visitors.

Driving the airport shuttle is another key responsibility, which necessitates passing a Department of Transportation (DOT) exam; however, a commercial driver's license (CDL) is not required. Job Requirements

  • must have schedule flexibility for both am/pm shifts weekends and holidays
  • must be able to pass a DOT exam certification
  • must be able to drive a full size van cdl not needed
  • ability to lift pull and push moderate weight minimum of 20 lbs
  • must be able to multitask
  • must possess strong communication skills
  • must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • must be 18 years or older

Job Qualifications

  • customer service experience preferably in a hotel or related field
  • strong command of the English language including speaking reading and writing
  • ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced position with guest interaction
  • must be 18 years or older
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • manage the Hotel Host Stand to greet and assist guests
  • oversee the Placery Café ensuring a clean and welcoming area
  • maintain the Guest Kitchen and communal spaces including the e-room and TV den
  • assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures
  • service meeting rooms and ensure readiness for events
  • operate the airport shuttle safely and reliably following DOT certification
  • communicate effectively with guests to provide exceptional service
